Many people enjoy a glass of wine after a busy week without knowing how much alcohol they are consuming. While drinking a glass of wine during dinner is not cause for concern, the alcohol concentration of an oral rinse may impact oral health professionals’ decision making when prescribing a mouthrinse, as well as patient compliance.

Chlorhexidine mouthrinses are indicated for use between dental visits as part of a professional program for the treatment of gingivitis.
