Product Profile: GUM® Paroex® Chlorhexidine Gluconate Oral Rinse USP, 0.12% by Sunstar
Oral Rinse Is Efficacious Without Alcohol.
Many people enjoy a glass of wine after a busy week without knowing how much alcohol they are consuming. While drinking a glass of wine during dinner is not cause for concern, the alcohol concentration of an oral rinse may impact oral health professionals’ decision making when prescribing a mouthrinse, as well as patient compliance.
PROVIDING PATIENTS WITH AN ALCOHOL-FREE OPTION
Chlorhexidine mouthrinses are indicated for use between dental visits as part of a professional program for the treatment of gingivitis. For some patients, however, the alcohol content of many chlorhexidine rinses is an issue due to health, religious, or other reasons. Sunstar provides a solution with its GUM Paroex, a United States Food and Drug Administration-approved, alcohol-free chlorhexidine mouthrinse. Paroex provides the same level of efficacy as an alcohol- containing chlorhexidine rinse, just without the alcohol.
CONVENIENCE IS KEY
GUM Paroex is available in 4-oz and 16-oz bottles to meet the needs of various situations and dispensing patterns, including both in-office and at-home use.
