Cynthia Stegeman, EdD, RDH, RD, LD, CDE, FAND, a professor and chair of the Dental Hygiene Department at the University of Cincinnati, Blue Ash College, is one of eight oral health professionals elected to the National Board Dental Hygiene Component B—Radiology Test Construction Committee within the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations. This small group is responsible for developing questions and case study patient scenarios for licensing examinations for dental hygiene students. Board members will focus on questions and case studies pertaining to the processing and interpretation of dental X-rays. The committee members were selected based on their experience and will meet three times annually at the American Dental Association headquarters in Chicago.
