Recipient of Sunstar eBrief Giveaway Revealed
The monthly enewsletter, Sunstar Ebrief — created through a collaboration between Sunstar and Dimensions of Dental Hygiene — added a new feature in 2024: a monthly giveaway! Sunstar Ebrief continues to provide news relevant to the profession and an interview with a dental hygienist involved in novel endeavors.
The first giveaway included a dental hygienist definition print, tooth-shaped earrings, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene tumbler, and oral hygiene aid samples from Sunstar. Christina Cook, BSDH, RDH, from Fort Lupton, Colorado, was the lucky winner.
A dental hygienist for 39 years, Cook practices part-time at Inspire Dental in Firestone, Colorado. She has worked in community dental health with the Colorado Migrant Program, as well as in education as a clinical instructor of dental hygiene at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. She served as editor of the Journal of the Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association and president of the Metropolitan Denver Dental Hygienists’ Society. Passionate about ensuring those in need have access to dental care, Cook volunteers with Kids in Need of Dentistry, Give Kids A Smile Day, and the Colorado Mission of Mercy; she went on her first dental mission trip abroad in 2019 with the Belize Mission Project.
