What to Do If You Are Unemployed

With the $2 trillion CARES Act now law, the federal government is ready to help those who have suffered significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic. As most dental practices are closed now except for emergency care, you may find yourself without a job. The good news is that many of the typical regulations surrounding unemployment benefits have been relaxed, making more people eligible. For instance independent contractors and part-time workers are now eligible. Benefits have also been increased, with most employees receiving an additional $600 per week above what the state unemployment benefits are already providing. Read more here.
