P. Mark Bartold, DDSc, PhD, is a professor emeritus at the University of Adelaide and formerly a professor of periodontics and director of the Colgate Australian Clinical Dental Research Centre at the University of Adelaide in Australia. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the Special Stream of Periodontics, and also a fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International, International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Bartold is editor of the Australian Dental Journal and Journal of the International Academy of Periodontology.
