Unveiling the Secrets of a Bright, White Smile

Pac-Dent iBrite® teeth whitening products provide a
comfortable and effective bleaching experience.

Pac-Dent iBriteIt’s no secret that a bright, white smile is commonly associated with good health, confidence, and an overall perception of physical attractiveness. Teeth whitening can be accomplished by way of either chemical or mechanical methods, with chemical options yielding more reliable results while also preserving tooth structure.1

A variety of peroxide compounds have been the go-to whitening agents in professional products since the 1960s, with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) standing the test of time with patient safety and satisfaction. Pac-Dent’s iBrite line of teeth whitening products uses the reliability of hydrogen peroxide to provide patients with effective whitening results in easy-to-use systems.

The iBrite Automix gel-type in-office whitening system is designed to provide a positive experience for both the patient and the clinician. Containing a highly stabilized 30% H2O2 formula that needs no refrigeration, this gel instantly activates on contact with enamel without the need for a light or syringe-to-syringe mixing. A proprietary blend of ingredients, including active calcium ions, potassium nitrate, and fluoride, work to remineralize compromised enamel and eliminate sensitivity that ordinarily prevents many patients from whitening their teeth. Each kit includes essentials like a cheek retractor, gingival barrier material, a shade guide, vitamin E oil, and application supplies to protect soft tissues and provide an effective, comfortable in-office whitening experience.

The iBrite take-home whitening kit is a convenient option that includes everything needed for an effortless smile enhancement. Available in 6%, 9%, and 12% undiluted hydrogen peroxide concentrations, the product strength can be selected based on individual patient needs and boasts a whitening speed of up to four times faster than carbamide peroxide.

Each kit includes two dual-chamber syringes of gel that are premeasured for a total of 16 days of at-home treatments. The iBrite take-home whitening system also includes innovative silicone-based self-impression trays that are custom-molded to the patient’s teeth and alleviate the need to spend extra time and materials fabricating models and trays at the practice. The patient is instructed to wear the whitening trays for 12 to 15 minutes before rinsing with water. Visible results are typically seen in as little as 5 days.

Once the desired shade is achieved, maintaining it is made simple with the iBrite whitening ToGo pen. Containing a gentle 9% H2O2 gel, this product is easy for patients to apply during their morning routine, while on the go during the day, or at nighttime before bed. The pen is twisted until gel fills the soft brush applicator and the product is applied to all teeth while smiling. After allowing the formula to sit for 15 minutes, the patient can eat, drink, and resume normal activities.

The pen may be used two to four times a day and can be stored in nearly any sized space. The iBrite pen assists in the daily removal of surface stains, extending the duration of whitening treatment results, or it can be used by itself over time for a gentle whitening effect.

A bright smile will never go out of style. While many trending home whitening products such as charcoal or “color correcting” toothpaste may sound appealing to patients, oral healthcare professionals are responsible for providing education on their realities while also providing safe, effective options that will meet expectations.

Pac-Dent’s innovative iBrite gentle professional whitening products provide a high level of convenience, quality, and value, in addition to research-based results that patients and clinicians are sure to embrace. n
