Educator Is Recognized for Outstanding Mentorship

Rebecca S. Wilder, RDH, MS, received the inaugural University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Dentistry Four Corners Study Club Faculty Mentoring Award. The honor recognizes exceptional mentoring practices by a UNC faculty member, with the recipient selected by faculty members, department chairs, and members of the administration who have directly benefited from or observed the nominee’s impact on other faculty.
Wilder is a professor, director of faculty development, and director of the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education degree program at UNC at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. An internationally recognized academician, author, speaker, and scientific investigator, Wilder is also editor in chief of the Journal of Dental Hygiene and a Dimensions Editorial Advisory Board member.
