September has been declared Dental Infection Control Awareness Month by the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP). This month-long campaign is part of a collaborative effort to support dental practitioners in their infection control efforts and to better educate patients about the critical role infection control plays in preventing the spread of disease.

To mark the kickoff of this awareness campaign, OSAP is offering free downloads of materials here. Resources include a poster, patient talking points, and online and social media tools. Oral health professionals can use these materials to educate patients on how their safety is ensured when in the dental chair.
