Dental Hygienist Receives Award at Yankee Meeting

Kathy Lituri, RDH, MPH, clinical instructor and oral health promotion director for the Office of Global and Population Health at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, received the Volunteer Award For Auxiliaries at the Yankee Dental Congress in Boston on January 24.

Kathy Lituri, RDH, MPH, clinical instructor and oral health promotion director for the Office of Global and Population Health at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, received the Volunteer Award For Auxiliaries at the Yankee Dental Congress in Boston on January 24. She has been volunteering at the meeting since its inception and has served as presiding chair, room coordinator, speaker, and poster judge. Lituri also helped to staff the Human Immunodeficiency Virus Dental Booth. She was the 2015 Dimensions of Dental Hygiene “Six Dental Hygienists You Want to Know” honoree for public health. Two other dental hygienists were also honored at Yankee: Paula Morrison, RDH, with the Hygienist of the Year Award and Joanne Swiderski, RDH, with the Vivian Chaput Award.
