This new type of approach to medical and dental care provides innovative ways to manage the various stages of disease.
Written by P. Mark Bartold, DDSc, PhD, the article explains the concepts of P4 medicine, discusses the prevalence of oral conditions that negatively impact quality of life, and describes basic tenets of the new classification system for periodontal diseases.
