Survey Results Show Millions of American Are Without Dental Insurance
Results from the State of Oral Health Equity in America Survey, conducted by CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, found that 68.5 million Americans are without dental insurance, which significantly impedes their ability to access professional oral healthcare. As the expanded Medicaid coverage provided during the pandemic comes to a close, experts surmise that more than 14 million additional Americans will lose dental coverage by the end of 2023. The number of Americans without dental insurance is three times higher than the number of those without medical insurance.
