Reimbursable COVID-19 Tests May Help California Dental Practices Comply With Vaccine Mandate

This summer, the state of California instituted a “vaccine-or test” mandate that requires healthcare providers to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing. The federal government’s provision of four free rapid COVID-19 tests and the requirement that health insurers cover eight at-home tests per month may help dental practices meet the vaccine-or-test mandate by ensuring rapid antigen tests are available and limiting the amount of time employees need to seek testing.
