Elizabeth I. Pitts, RDH, MS, is an adjunct clinical lecturer in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine in the Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor. She is also an adjunct clinical instructor in the Division of Dental Hygiene at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Her teaching responsibilities focus on clinical education, research methodology, medical emergencies, and public health. A member of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s Peer Review Panel, Pitts is also a member of Sigma Phi Alpha-Nu Chapter, American Dental Hygienists’ Association, National Dental Hygienists’ Association, and American Dental Education Association.
