Product Profile: Sensation® Powder-Free, Non-Latex Examination Gloves by Microflex®

Nitrile gloves offer low dermatitis potential.

Gloves’ softness, fit, and feel are key to oral health professionals whose work requires the consistent use of these protective barriers. Unfortunately, many clinicians experience redness and itching associated with contact dermatitis caused by glove use. To help clinicians maintain their skin health, Microflex has introduced Sensation Powder-Free, Non-Latex Examination Gloves.

Sensation gloves are extra-soft, latex-free gloves that deliver exceptional fit and feel, tactile sensitivity, and comfort. Textured fingertips enhance grip in both wet and dry conditions, making Sensation ideal for handling small instruments.

The gloves also offer “low dermatitis potential,” a new term that replaces manufacturers’ use of the word “hypoallergenic.” Low dermatitis potential, a claim that must be qualified by the United States Food and Drug Administration, means the product has been clinically shown to reduce cases of redness and itching associated with contact dermatitis. Additionally, Microflex gloves feature a proprietary polymer system that eliminates certain chemical additives (including accelerators) that are known to irritate the skin.

Sensation Powder-Free, Non-Latex Examination Gloves, available in sizes XS to XL, are packaged in a 100-count box. These blue-colored, ambidextrous gloves are designed to ensure complete protection against pathogens while providing protection against skin irritation.
