DIMENSIONS CONGRATULATES IPAD MINI CONTEST WINNER
The winner of the Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s continuing education (CE) giveaway is Cindy Gottsponer, RDH, who received an iPad mini. The contest was open to dental hygienists who completed 24 CE units through the Dimensions CE portal between June 1 and December 31, 2014.
Gottsponer, of Morrilton, Arkansas, received a bachelor of dental hygiene degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Upon graduation, she began her dental hygiene career at Fleeman Family Dental Center in Morrilton and has been working with Mike Fleeman, DDS, and the practice’s staff for more than 20 years. Gottsponer said she is thrilled to have won this contest while doing what she loves most—serving the needs of others. “Thank you, Dimensions for fulfilling my CE needs with informative courses and being so beneficial to those in the dental profession,” Gottsponer said.

NOMINEES SOUGHT FOR WORLD DENTAL HYGIENIST AWARDS
The World Dental Hygienist Awards, established by the Sunstar Foundation, recognize dental hygienists who have positively impacted dental hygiene science/patient care, their communities, or the general public. The honors are given every 3 years, and nominations for the 2016 awards are open through December 2015.
The Sunstar Foundation will present awards in four categories: research; activity/project; student research; and student activity/project. Recipients of the World Dental Hygienist Awards will receive a cash prize, as well as paid expenses to the International Symposium on Dental Hygiene in Basel, Switzerland, on June 23 to June 25, 2016.
