WHO Says Vaccines Should Go to Countries in Need, not for Boosters

As the Delta variant rapidly spreads throughout the United States and other wealthy nations, some public health officials and representatives from vaccine manufacturers have suggested that those age 60 and older should receive a COVID-19 booster shot by the end of this year. In stark contrast, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that low-income countries with little access to COVID-19 vaccinations should be able to vaccinate their citizens before booster shots are authorized for use in wealthier countries.
