Research Shows Medical-Dental Integration Improves Systemic Health

A review conducted at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine has found that the overall health of vulnerable patients improved when they received care in a medical-dental integration model. Funded by Delta Dental, the review looked at vulnerable populations, which included children, pregnant women, older adults, and those with chronic diseases. The medical-dental integration models offered interactive communication between both dental and medical providers and collaboration on both dental and medical treatment. Click here to read more.
