Oral Rash May Be Symptom of COVID-19

Skin rashes are well known symptoms of COVID-19, especially among young people. Now Spanish researchers have found that a rash within the oral cavity may also be indicative of infection with the novel coronavirus. In a small study of 21 patients, six presented with an oral rash that arose approximately 2 weeks after the first onset of COVID-19 symptoms. The six patients also had skin rashes. The researchers noted that the oral rash may also be related to drug intereactions. To see images, click here.
