- Recognize barriers related to providing oral hygiene in the hospital setting.
- Describe an evidence-based oral hygiene algorithm for ventilated and nonventilated hospitalized patients.
- Identify the benefits of a having a dental hygienist in the hospital to provide quality and consistent oral hygiene to critically ill patients.
