Elizabeth C. Kornegay, CDA, RDH, MS, is an assistant professor in the Dental Hygiene Programs of the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. She is director of the second year undergraduate dental hygiene clinic, directs the clinical teaching and clinical administration graduate courses, and serves on undergraduate and graduate thesis committees. At the Adams School of Dentistry, Kornegay is the committee chair of the Dental Hygiene Curriculum Committee and is a member of the Curriculum Innovation Steering Committee, Dental Hygiene Admissions Committee, and Dental Hygiene Academic Performance Committee. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, North Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association, American Dental Education Association, Sigma Phi Alpha–Xi Chapter, and the editorial review board for the Journal of Dental Hygiene.
