The month of February has been designated as National Children’s Dental Health Month since 1981 in an effort to promote the importance of oral health. What used to be celebrated as a 1-day event beginning in 1941 has now morphed into a monthlong observance with the goal of educating parents and children about the importance of developing an effective oral hygiene regimen and regularly receiving professional dental care. This year the American Dental Association has partnered with Crest + Oral-B to create a poster titled “Brush Your Teeth With Fluoride Toothpaste and Clean Between Your Teeth for a Healthy Smile.” Posters and other resources are available at: adha.org.
