Many Older Adults Experience Isolation as COVID-19 Pandemic Continues

Older adults are at greatest risk for severe COVID-19 illness, even with vaccination and booster shots. More than 65% of vaccinated individuals who were hospitalized for COVID-19 between June and September 2021 were age 65 or older. Over the past 2 years, most seniors have been highly cautious, changing their behaviors to reduce infection risk.
