After reading this course, the participant should be able to:
- Identify the various types of contraceptives and prevalence of use among United States women.
- Describe the oral health effects associated with different methods of contraception, as well as therapeutic indications other than birth control.
- Discuss the clinical benefits of understanding contraceptive therapies and recognizing the potential adverse oral health effects.
