Nancy Kuy, RDA, RDH, MSc, has been working as a dental hygienist in private practice for the past 13 years. Licensed in both California and New York, she is a Bridging the Gap associate and junior research scientist in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry. This 1-year training program funded through a 5-year Health Resources and Services Administration training grant is focused on oral healthcare for individuals with disabilities and complex health conditions. Additionally, Kuy is an adjunct clinical instructor in the university’s Dental Hygiene Programs. She is also a student in the Doctor of Education in Health Education Program at Columbia University.
A federally funded associateship program at the New York University College of Dentistry is helping young patients with special needs receive the dental care they need.
