Jacquelyn L. Fried, RDH, MS, is an associate professor, Dean’s Faculty, in the Department of Dental Hygiene and the former director of interprofessional initiatives at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. She has more than 40 years of experience in dental hygiene education. In the summer of 2018, Fried received a Governor’s Citation for her work in educating, advocating, and promoting the dental hygiene profession and access to oral health care. She is a member of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s Editorial Advisory Board.
