Allison Castro, EdD, RDH, is an assistant professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at Farmingdale State College in New York. Her teaching responsibilities include health science research principles and methods, pain management laboratory, oral pathology, clinical dental hygiene I, II, III, IV, essentials of clinical practice I and II, and advanced dental hygiene practice I and II instruction. Castro has clinical experience as a dental hygienist in general, periodontal, and prosthodontic practices for more than 15 years. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the acting editor of the Long Island Dental Hygienists’ Association, and a delegate to the New York Dental Hygienists’ Association.
