Bob Schroth, DMD, MSc, a Rady Faculty of Health Sciences professor at the University of Manitoba in Canada has designed a Canadian Caries Risk Assessment Tool to assess the risk of lesions in children younger than 6. Designed for nondental health professionals, the tool allows daycare workers, social workers, physicians, and dietitians to ask the patient and parents/caregivers questions focused on factors that cause caries. Points scores determine a high or low caries risk. The assessment tool can be found at: http://umanitoba.ca/CRA_Tool_ENG_Version.pdf.
