NYU Grad Fosters Pride in Dental Hygiene

Naoko Fujimori, RDH, MA, a 2009 graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program at New York University, returned to her native Japan and started an international study club called Team Grin’n in 2015.

With the onset of the global pandemic, the group reached out to dental hygienists across the globe with purple and blue hair coverings. Dental hygienists who received the caps sent back photographs of them wearing the hair coverings. Fujimori has shared these photos on the Team Grin’n Facebook page to foster pride and solidarity among dental hygienists worldwide.
