Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Celebrated at Reception

Dimensions of Dental Hygiene, alongside premier sponsor Colgate and supporting sponsor Patterson Dental, honored Pamela R. Overman, RDH, MS, EdD, with the 2016 Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award on June 10. The award ceremony was held at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh during the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Annual Session, with hundreds of meeting attendees present.

Overman is the seventh recipient of this prestigious award, which is presented to a worthy individual in recognition of his or her consistent and effective contributions to the enrichment of the dental hygiene profession. The associate dean for academic affairs and a professor in the School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Overman has served on the school’s faculty for 35 years.
