New Pediatric Dentist Added to the ‘Ask the Expert’ Forum
Dimensions of Dental Hygiene offers an online “Ask the Expert” forum where readers may submit questions for answer by an expert clinical panel on topics such as anesthesia, cultural competency, ergonomics, esthetic dentistry, ethics and risk management, fluoride therapy, infection control, instrumentation, instrument sharpening, insurance coding, nutrition, oral pathology, patient education, pediatric dentistry, periodontal therapy, pharmacology, and polishing. The pediatric dentistry forum is led by Michael W. Roberts, DDS, MScD, a Henson Distinguished Professor in the Division of Pediatric and Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. This forum will now be shared by Robert D. Elliott, DMD, MS, FAAPD, PA, who has been in private pediatric dental practice for the past 24 years in Cary, North Carolina. A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, he also serves as an adjunct clinical professor at both the University of North Carolina and University of Louisville Schools of Dentistry. In addition, Elliott runs two consulting businesses: Pedo Springboard Inc, which helps residents and pediatric dentists successfully start their own practice and Pediatric Dental Directions, which supports private practitioners in establishing legacy leadership and a positive work culture.
