Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Honored

It was a night of celebration in the land of country music, as Dimensions of Dental Hygiene alongside premier sponsor Colgate and supporting sponsors Patterson Dental and Straumann presented JoAnn R. Gurenlian, RDH, MS, PhD, with The Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award on June 19. The award ceremony took place at the Omni Nashville Hotel during the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Annual Session. Hundreds of session attendees gathered to witness Gurenlian receive this prestigious honor for her significant contributions to the profession. Gurenlian—a professor and graduate program director at Idaho State University in Pocatello, small-business owner, and president of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists—is the sixth winner of The Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award, which is named after its inaugural recipient, Esther M. Wilkins, BS, RDH, DMD.
