Dental Hygienist to Lead DTA’s Board of Directors
Karen Neiner, RDH, MBA, president of Palmero Healthcare, was recently elected chair of the Board of Directors for the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA), an organization of suppliers and service providers dedicated to improving the provision of oral healthcare.

Karen Neiner, RDH, MBA, president of Palmero Healthcare, was recently elected chair of the Board of Directors for the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA), an organization of suppliers and service providers dedicated to improving the provision of oral healthcare. A Dimensions of Dental Hygiene Corporate Council member, Neiner has worked with the HuFriedy Group, of which Palmero is a part, for more than 30 years. She has held numerous positions with the company in marketing, sales, and new business development. Neiner was instrumental in the creation of the Friends of HuFriedy online community for dental hygienists, and she also created the HuFriedy/American Dental Hygienists’ Association Master Clinician Award, which honors dental hygienists who demonstrate outstanding clinical expertise in relating the interdependence of clinical practice and patient education for the improvement of patient compliance. Neiner has been part of the DTA’s leadership team since 2017 when she was first elected to the board. She has served on the organization’s executive committee and foundation board, as well as second vice chair.
