ADHA Announces 2020 Award Recipients
Dimensions of Dental Hygiene Brand Ambassador Emily Boge, CDA, RDH, MPA, received the Award for Excellence in Dental Hygiene.
While the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) Annual Session was virtual this year due to the pandemic, many highly accomplished dental hygienists were still honored. Dimensions of Dental Hygiene Brand Ambassador Emily Boge, CDA, RDH, MPA, received the Award for Excellence in Dental Hygiene. She is chair of the Health Sciences Department at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, in addition to actively working in research, product innovation, and public speaking. The award, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, was also given to Catherine K. Draper, RDH, MS, a health educator, writer, and editor.
The other award recipients include: Tracy Laughner, PHRDH, Community Outreach Award; Han-Na Jang, RDH, MSDH, Esther Wilkins Future Leader Award; Brenda Armstrong, RDH, MDH, Educator of the Year Award; Tammy Filipiak, RDH, MS, Professional Membership Achievement; Ana Paula Mata, RDH, Irene Newman Outstanding Clinician Award; QuinTess Bond, Hygienist Proud Award; Danielle Allen, Courtney Fine and Malorie Newton, Sigma Phi Alpha Excellence in Journalism, Undergraduate; Krista Beaty, RDH, MS, Sigma Phi Alpha Excellence In Journalism, Graduate; Melanie Patterson, Abbigale White, and Kimberlynn Patzold, Sigma Phi Alpha Excellence In Journalism, Undergraduate, Honorable Mention; and Heather Morse, RDH, BS, MSDH, Sigma Phi Alpha Excellence in Journalism, Graduate, Honorable Mention.
