US COVID-19 Hospitalization Rate Bypasses 100,000

In a grim number not seen since January, the United States has more than 100,000 individuals currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. The Southern US has the highest numbers, with Florida and Texas leading the way. More than 147,000 new cases of COVID-19 are diagnosed each day. While these numbers are nothing to celebrate, vaccination rates are increasing, with more than 160 million Americans fully vaccinated against the virus.
