UConn Dental School Receives $2.7M Grant for Research Training

The University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Dental Medicine in Farmington has secured a $2.7 million, 5-year training grant from the National Institute of Health’s National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. This funding sustains research training for students in the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD)/Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program and PhD candidates and post-doctoral fellows in skeletal biology and regeneration. Mina Mina, DMD, PhD, head of Pediatric Dentistry and the DMD/PhD program, leads the initiative. The program cultivates independent scientists in craniofacial and oral biology, drawing on interdisciplinary resources from UConn’s various schools. Click here to read more.
