
Preliminary Evidence Shows Pfizer Vaccine Is Effective Against New COVID-19 Strain
Results from a recent study revealed good news about the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine: it appears to be effective against the mutated strain of the novel coronavirus that is quickly spreading across the globe. Conducted by researchers at the University of Texas Medical Branch, the study has yet to be peer reviewed but preliminary data were published online on January 8. The in vitro findings show that the Pfizer vaccine was able to neutralize the new spike, N501Y, which spreads more quickly than previous iterations of the novel coronavirus. Click here to read more.
