Poll Data Show Dentistry Is on the Path to Recovery

Results of a poll of more than 6,500 private practice dentists show signs of recovery after the closure of almost all offices except for emergency treatment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The American Dental Association Health Policy Institute reported that, during the week of May 18, 65% of dental practices were open for elective procedures, and 38% had patient volumes similar to those seen pre-pandemic. Another bright spot — during the same timeframe, 58% of staff were being fully paid, compared with only 11% the week of April 6. Read more here.
