As Omicron Wanes, Some States Ease Mask Mandates

With the number of new COVID-19 cases dropping by more than 65% over the past week, some states are easing up on their mask mandates. The governors of California, New Jersey, Delaware, and Connecticut all announced they would be lifting indoor mask mandates for those who are vaccinated, and New Jersey and Connecticut will also forgo mandatory masking in schools. Oregon is also expected to eliminate its mask requirement in schools. While the positive case rate continues to decline across the United States, the nation is still reporting approximately 2,500 COVID-19-related deaths each day. Click here to read more.
