Number of US Children With COVID-19 Skyrockets

During the first week of September, more than 250,000 children contracted COVID-19 in the United States, representing the highest number of weekly pediatric cases ever reported since the global pandemic commenced in March 2020. Approximately 2,400 of those cases required hospitalization, which illustrates that most child cases are more mild than seen in adults. The number of pediatric cases is expected to rise as children return to school and those younger than 12 remain ineligible for COVID-19 vaccination. Click here to read more.
