NIH Awards UAB School of Dentistry $22.4M

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry has been awarded a seven-year, $22.4 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) to continue leading the National Practice-Based Research Network (NDPBRN).

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry has been awarded a seven-year, $22.4 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) to continue leading the National Practice-Based Research Network (NDPBRN).

The NDPBRN is a consortium of dental organizations and participating practices committed to improving the nation’s oral health. UAB has served as the National Administrative and Resource Center by NIDCR since 2012. In this role, the college leads six regional research centers in Birmingham, Rochester, New York; Gainesville, Florida, Minneapolis, San Antonio, and Portland, Oregon.
