
What the Newly Passed Stimulus Package Means for You
Besides cash payments to every American earning less than $75,000 annually, the newly passed CARES Act provides individual Americans with additional benefits. For one, it will be easier to receive unemployment assistance, as the regulations regarding who is eligible have been loosened and the benefits have increased. The length of time you can receive unemployment benefits has also increased with an additional 13 weeks being added. Insurance companies are now required to cover all testing, treatment, and vaccination (when available) for COVID-19. For those with student loans, all payments can be deferred without incurring interest until September 30. Read more here.
