Where Cancer Care Meets the Mouth

Sanae Stokes, BSDH, RDH, is a private practice dental hygienist in Richmond, Virginia. Her goal in clinical care is to provide patients with thorough, anxiety-free dental experiences while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. Stokes is deeply passionate about continuing her education, building lasting relationships with patients, and empowering them with the knowledge to achieve their oral health goals. She values the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in each patient’s life through education, trust, and consistent care.

Kimberly Lintag-Nguyen, EdD, MSDH, RDH, is an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry, Dental Hygiene Program in Richmond, Virginia. She serves as the academic coordinator and senior clinic coordinator in the program, as well as the committee chair for the Dental Hygiene Curriculum Management Committee. Lintag-Nguyen directs infection and immunity, dental materials, and dental hygiene theory II, III, and IV. She also teaches both junior and seniors in preclinical and clinical courses. Lintag-Nguyen’s research interests include patient and clinician health and safety, radiology, and student engagement. Marjor C. Manski, MS, RDH, is associate professor and director of the Dental Hygiene Program at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. As director, she is involved in administration, mentoring, curriculum, academic advising, and overseeing the program’s strategic plan and goals. With more than 42 years of experience, she was recognized as the 2025 recipient of the Ann Battrell Visionary Leader Award. She is also a Dimensions Editorial Advisory Board member. Seidy Lainez-Zuniga, BSDH, RDH, is a public health dental hygienist from central Virginia. Her goal in public health is to provide underserved communities with quality dental care and empower them with the knowledge to improve their well-being. She is strongly committed in educating patients, particularly those with low health literacy, about the critical connection between oral health and overall health.
