Latest Polling Data Show Dental Practices Are Getting Back to Normal

Data collected the week of May 17 by the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute showed that 86% of dental practices are at pre-pandemic patient volumes, with rural, small group, and endodontic practices experiencing the greatest gains. Dentists also reported they were actively recruiting staff members to add to their teams; more than 80% noted that hiring dental hygienists and dental assistants was very challenging at this time. About 65% of responding dentists said they were paying staff members—including dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative employees—more now than prior to COVID-19. This poll encompasses responses from more than 1,700 dentists across the United States.  Click here to read more.
