After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Describe cone-beam computed tomography technology (CBCT) and how it differs from other dental imaging.
  2. Describe dental specialties where CBCT imaging is indicated.
  3. Discuss ways to limit radiation exposure when using CBCT technology.
  4. Describe advantages and disadvantages of CBCT radiography.
