Susan J. Jenkins, RDH, PhD, is a professor of dental hygiene at the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and Health Sciences in Boston where she has been a full-time faculty member since 2001. Jenkins is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and Sigma Phi Alpha. She can be reached at: susan.jenkins@mcphs.edu.


Ronald J. Kulich, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a lecturer in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Management at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. He develops and manages the opioid risk assessment protocols for the Massachusetts General Hospital Pain Center and Facial Pain/Headache Center at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Kulich has cochaired the Massachusetts Dental Education Core Competencies Subcommittee for the Prevention and Management of Prescription Drug Misuse, and maintains membership in the Law Enforcement Prescription Monitoring Program Educational Program.


David A. Keith, BDS, FDSRCS, DMD, is a professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a visiting oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was co-chair of Massachusetts’ Governor Baker’s Task Force on Dental Curriculum and Opioid prescribing and has authored numerous papers and lectured on pain management for the dentist.
