After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Identify the federal laws designed to improve access to oral health care for children.
  2. Define early childhood caries (ECC).
  3. Discuss the evidence-based recommendations for treatment of ECC.
  4. Explain the impact of public programs on the prevalence of ECC.
