Donna Catapano-Martinez, DHSc, RDH, CDA, is an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting at New York University College of Dentistry in New York. She is also an online adjunct professor in the School of Health Sciences at Georgia Highlands College in Rome. Catapano-Martinez has more than 20 years of experience in academia and has been treating patients in private practice since 1999. She can be reached at dlc8@nyu.edu.


Kristin Baumann, MPH, RDH, FADHA, is an assistant professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at Georgia Highlands College in Rome. She has more than 19 years of experience in dental hygiene education and 20 years in clinical practice. Baumann’s current teaching responsibilities include preclinical and clinical dental hygiene, dental pharmacology, and community dental health.


Michelle Boyce, DHSc, RDH, FADHA, is the program director and clinical assistant professor of dental hygiene at Byrdine F. Lewis of Nursing and Health Professions, Georgia State University in Atlanta. She has been working in academia for 14 years and has been practicing dental hygienist in general and periodontal practices since 1999.
