This overview of the current research on the use of flavonoids in dentistry will help oral health professionals effectively advise their patients.

After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Describe possible bactericidal actions of flavonoids.
  2. Explain potential benefits of flavonoid use in oral care products.
  3. Identify food sources of flavonoids and dietary recommendations for flavonoid-rich foods that may provide oral health benefits.
