EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Explain the basics, as well as the pros and cons, of oral health care delivery via telehealth technologies.
  2. List the advantages of adopting electronic health records.
  3. Describe the infrastructure needed to implement teledentistry, and the challenges associated with adoption of telehealth services.
  4. Discuss the potential for telehealth to improve access to care in nontraditional settings and underserved areas.
