Ruth Tornwall, RDH, MS, began teaching in 1980 at Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, Texas, where

she now serves as an associate professor in the dental hygiene program. She teaches periodontology, community

dentistry, and orofacial anatomy, histology, and embryology courses. Tornwall is also an instructor in preclinical

and clinical courses.
